Programs
Toolbox Event
Through the Careers In Construction‘s Toolbox Event, local C.T.E High School students helped to teach 900 fourth graders in our community how to build toolboxes in the 2023/2024 school year.
- This program gives High School Students in our area the opportunity to share their love and passion of building with the kids in our local elementary schools.
- The Toolbox Event encourages interaction and engagement, strengthens fine motor skills, prompts problem solving, captures the interests of different learning styles, promotes cognitive development, helps to teach cooperation/working together, builds confidence, inspires creativity, and provides the opportunity for life experiences.
- Our goal for the 2024/2025 school year is to scale this program and increase the number of students reached from 900 to 1,500!
School Built Sheds
Through our School Built Shed program students learn both the “hard and soft” skills of building, sales, and marketing. Students build the sheds from start to finish and sell them to the public through their marketing efforts. All funds that are received from the sales go directly back into the program to fund their future builds.
- The shed building programs at Vancouver School District, Evergreen School District, Ridgefield School District and La Center School District launched spring 2024! If you are interested in ordering a shed, please call Jon Girod at 360-907-5800
